LOL: Lots of Links - Volume 2
/Did you miss my first LOL and not sure what this is all about? Go check it out!
What do you think of that donut? This is how Caleb decided to eat this donut over the weekend. We missed getting donuts on National Donut Day (Friday, 6/1), but we enjoyed them on Sunday instead. To no surprise to any mom out there, my son chose the donut with sprinkles. #nationaldonutday
My favorite local magazines, South Sound Magazine, put out it's annual Best of the South Sound last month. I love checking out what people like and seeing if matches my likes. Some did, some didn't. Here's the article and then here's what I had to say about it. And why do I always want to type Sound Sound? Ugh.
OMG OMG, summer is almost here. We're already enjoying some awesome weather. I thought this was a pretty great list of family-friendly fun for the summer in our area.
Speaking of summer, be sure to wear your sunscreen (hey, remember that song?). Sunscreens can have some pretty terrible things in them, so be careful. This is a great list if you're not sure what to buy.
Baby TripAdvisor. This brought some chuckles. It's a baby's review of their hotel. For instance, this: "Unfortunately, a glass door made the balcony inaccessible. I could see the ocean outside but a cold invisible force stopped me from crawling to it every time."
TV. Got love it. Got to hate it. Here's Fatherly's take on the Best TV Shows for Toddlers. Of the list, Caleb enjoys Tumble Leaf, Octonauts, and occasionally Dinosaur Train. He never really got into Sesame Street or Daniel's Tiger, although I wish he would.
Cosmic Kids Yoga. I'm curious, have any of you tried it with your toddlers? Could be fun???
Caleb is a natural smiler. Although, when I ask him to smile for the camera, he gets on his best squinty face. Cup of Jo has some great tips for getting kids to smile in photos.
Gosh, there are so many mom debates out there. Should I let me kid do this? Should I not let them have that? How should I handle this? It's overwhelming and confusing. Yet, I still read all the Internet things. It's terrible. One of the big debates...sharing. It's OK Not to Share. What do you think?
I'm keeping an eye out on these adorable Rey to Z hats to see if there is a Father's Day sale. One for Josh and one for Caleb. Wouldn't that be cool? Caleb's friend has one as do his parents. I think it's a fun idea!
Father's Day is around the corner. Have you thought about what you're going to do, give, or cook? I can't share what I got Josh because he might read this, but I am considering making him ribs for dinner. Either these Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs or these Honey Balsamic Ribs also in the slow cooker.
We're headed to Chicago soon to see family and go to my cousin's wedding. If I we were going without a toddler, I'd probably want to try to eat at every. single. one. of. this. places. Oh, food, so good.
So tell me, anything good you've come across on the 'net lately?
